1. Add an image
If you can choose the image for the card, we recommend opting for a fun picture that captures your favorite memory with the person you’re giving the gift card to.

2. Check if you can add a video
Some e-gift card retailers allow you to add a video message, which will be sent along with the gift card to the recipient. If you can do this, you should! To ensure you are putting your best digital foot forward, we suggest spending a few minutes thinking about what you’d like to say before you press record. Don’t forget to check the lighting too - we recommend shooting your video when there’s natural light.
3. Add a note
Even if you can’t send a video, you can send a note along with the video. Make sure your note sounds personal.
4. Ensure the gift card is delivered on time
The best part about e-gift cards is that you can schedule the delivery, and get them shipped to you! This is amazing because you don’t have to visit the post office and stand in line to send your gift card, and then hope that it gets to your loved one on time. With e-gift cards, you can just pay for it online and sit back and relax. That said, avoid waiting till the last minute to order your card.
5. Pick the right gift card
To make sure you pick the right gift card, think about where the recipient likes to dine or shop. If they love shopping on Amazon, you can get them an Amazon gift card. If you are not sure of their preferences, get them a Visa® e-gift card - these cards can be used at pretty much any restaurant and store.
